This is the first post on this blog! Yay! Now let’s talk about this recipe. Yes, it is the original from http://www.ricekrispies.com/recipes/the-original-treats, but with a little twist. Instead of using marshmallows I used marshmallow fluff! The best part is that it turned out perfect, exactly like the classic original.
INGREDIENTS
8/9 cups Rice Krispies cereal
396 g (2 jars) Kraft Jet Puffed Marshmallow Creme
6 tbs Butter
STEPS
1. Put a large pot on medium heat. Add in butter and marshmallow creme. Stir the two ingredients thoroughly until melted.
2. Remove the pot from heat and pour in all of the rice krispies cereal. It’d be best to use a wooden spoon for this step. Slowly start mixing the cereal into the marshmallow creme. Make sure the cereal and creme have been completely mixed together, or the cereal won’t stick well together.
3. To set the treats, I recommend using a large cake/brownie pan or even a glass tray. Using a large spoon slowly spread the mixture into the tray. Now you can even out any bumps using a spoon to flatten the top.
4. You can either immediately cut it into square or wait about 30 minutes to let the whole thing set. After this you are ready to serve. Enjoy!
